Working to reduce the use of drugs, tobacco, and underage drinking among youth in Polk County and supporting persons in recovery to become self-sufficient to ensure a safer community.

Drug Free Communities

Polk Prevention and Recovery Alliance was awarded the Drug Free Communities (DFC) grant in 2021. PPRA works in partnership with the statewide nonprofit, The Georgia Prevention Project. The DFC is funded by the CDC and renewed annually! We are excited to continue serving Polk County youth and residents as we enter the coalition’s fourth year!

  • Supporting Community

    PPRA is proud to support the Polk County Jail's Re-entry Program so that those who have been incarcerated can re-enter society with the skills and resources they need to lead successful lives and reduce recidivism.

  • Spreading Awareness

    PPRA had a blast sharing resources and connecting with students at Polk County's Annual Teen Maze event.

  • Prevention Through the Arts

    PPRA had the opportunity to speak with community members at the Cedartown Performing Arts Center!

    PPRA was proud to attend the Polk County Fair! We enjoyed talking with community members, sharing resources, and handing out medication lockboxes!
